For more than 35 years, Rapido Corner Store & Groceries  has been the place to buy beer in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. The “Giant of Beer” offers more than 500 different beer products available at remarkable prices! Among their selection, you’ll find microbrewery beers from Quebec, popular brewery beer products and a wide variety of imported beers.
Their advertising objective was to target beer drinkers from outside their immediate market and become their favoured choice for beer! Alcohol is much more affordable in Quebec than in Ontario and with Ottawa being just over the bridge, Rapido was on a quest to grow their client base while saving folks money – a noble cause indeed!

But people are creatures of habit and, as much as we love to save a few bucks we also love convenience. Task #1 was to break people out of their routine, not a minor undertaking. Add to this that there are other Depanneurs closer to Ottawa and large box stores that also sell beer. Task #2 was to convince consumers to drive past these other locations and make Rapido their primary beer destination. Before partnering with Ad Caffeine, Rapido Depanneur promoted themselves through traditional mediums like Newspaper and Radio along with the occasional Facebook post. These forms of “catch all” advertising were no longer able to provide the results that Rapido desired.

In 2018, owner, Marc-André Arvisais determined that it was time for a new approach but, like many small business owners, the overwhelming world of digital media was not something that he was prepared to take on alone. Marc appreciated Ad Caffeine’s unique ability to simplify the complexities of digital advertising and our genuine desire to help local business – from there our partnership was born!
